| In problem areas
slip pre-assembled bracket over the perimeter joists, at the
marriage joint. Screw the large angle to the lower of the two
joists. Screw the smaller angle to the higher joist (using 9
#12 x 1-1/2" screws provided). |

| Loosen
nut no. 1 to allow for adjustment. Use wrench to tighten nut
no. 2. As you tighten the nut, pressure is applied to both joists
in the proper direction. |

| After adjusting,
lock in place by tightening the nuts on both sides of the angle.
To reduce the chance of movement, and to provide for future
adjustments, leave brackets installed. |

Splintered or rotting floor materials, knots in application
joints and insulation.
